Annual sunflower

A fast-growing annual for solitary plantings, compact groups, but also for cutting and drying. Requires a sunny location and is demanding in terms of moisture. For vases and drying, cut the flowers at the very beginning of flowering. Tall varieties should be grown with support to prevent them from falling over in late summer when the flowers are ripening or in windy weather.
