The original Durban Poison variety from Dutch Passion is a classic outdoor and indoor variety. It came to the Netherlands from South Africa and underwent several years of inbreeding in the 1970s. With each generation, it became more adaptable to the windy and rainy conditions of northern Europe. During breeding, the Durban variety was crossed with a variety of unknown indica genetics.
