ÉLITE SEEDS

The Spanish company Élite Seeds was founded in 2007 by a team of university graduates specializing in genetics, plant breeding, agriculture, and biotechnology. The team currently operates out of the University of Valencia Science Park, providing ideal conditions for breeding new strains with predominantly medicinal cannabinoids such as CBD, THCV, and CBDV.

The company is also behind Kanopia, Spain's first legal medical cannabis dispensary, which opened in 1999. They focus mainly on breeding strains with specific cannabinoid profiles, drawing on their vast experience and many years of study. Élite Seeds is essentially one of the first companies to successfully breed strains containing only high levels of CBD, THCV, or CBDV, as well as one of the first varieties with an equal CBD:THC ratio.
